Why do people come to the conclusion that the Knicks are the only good fit for Carmelo?

I think the Nets can. They would have Rip Hamilton who is better than Chandler overall and better defensively. While Amare is now better than Brook Lopez, Lopez could be a better player in 2-3 years and more dominant because of the fact besides Dwight Howard you don't really have any super star centers. Nets can clear cap to bring Chris Paul in 2012 whereas Knicks would have to do a sign and trade to pull that off with the Hornets which can be rejected by the Hornets. Knicks bad management history says it alot for themselves. They only got Amare because they paid him the most money after Lebron told them to *** off.
