How to break in a Carhartt Coat?

I got a Carhartt jacket a while back. I hate wearing it because its so stiff. Washed it without drying it like 8 times. There's gotta be a way to make it softer, not like its made of cardboard. Anybody got any ideas? I dont care about the look, just dont want to deal with the pain in the *** of breakin it in myself.
